Yosemite National Park is a commonly known national park in the United States, that lives up to its standard.  The Yosemite National Park is located in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains, has an outstanding view of clifftops, waterfalls, and lakes – the world’s tallest trees.

TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK

Torres del Paine rounds off our ranking of one of the most gorgeous national parks in the world. Located in Chilean Patagonia, Torres del Paine National Park contains more than 448,000 acres of magnificent landscape, including Grey Glacier and the famous Cuernos del Paine.

In the bottom of South America, the park borders the South Patagonian Ice Field. Due to a unique geological fault, the Paine Massif crashed through the earth’s crust, leaving behind a rocky, forested environment filled with turquoise lakes and massive glaciers.

The scenery is beautiful and animals such as penguins, pumas, and whales can be seen here.  The “W Trek and the O Circuit” are two of the most popular hike trails, both of which take a few days to complete and typically require guides. Torres del Paine has become a destination for adventurers and trekkers.
