Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy
Beautiful scenery and top-notch skiing can be found in the Cinque Torri mountains in the Italian Dolomites resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo. The region became a long-time favourite of skiers as a result of hosting the Winter Olympics in 1956.
In the Dolomites, where a dozen resorts share a single Dolomiti Superski Pass that grants access to all of their lifts and trails, Cortina is far from alone. St Anton am Alberg, Austria
Expert skiers travel to St Anton in the Arlberg region of Austria for its breathtaking scenery and challenging skiing. With a 1,347-meter elevation difference, the 10 km race between Valluga and St. Anton is difficult.
With the recent addition of lifts to its new appearance, St. Anton is now connected to the 340km of ski slopes that connect the key resorts in the Arlberg, including Lech, St. Christoph, Zürs, Stuben, and others, on the other side of the Flexen Pass. Access to all of these is included in the regional Arlberg lift pass.
